Mi Vacacion

I had a great vacation. It is winter here and the last two weeks has been my winter vacation. The first week I skied a bunch with my friend Dermot and it was awesome. Skiing on a Volcano is sick, not many trees and lots of bowls. Dermot and I were very determined to ski all week but the lifts were closed for 5 days because of the wind. We made due and did other sweet shit too like went to the Termas and watch movies dubbed in Spanish that are impossible to understand, and drink a whole bottle of pisco, and go to the discotec, you're the man Derm hope the wing feels better.
The second week my sweet loving parents came. We went skiing with mama one day but it was super cloudy, still cool though. Ate so much good food, thanks pops. Mama wanted a spa day so we made a trip to these other Termas called Geometricas, and it was awesome. Found out that some famous architect built them. It was like right in the mountains surrounded by snow, two waterfalls and aqua muy caliente. Just what Moms wanted. The next day I went skiing with just pops and it was amazing. We had a snow storm here the day before and there was like a foot and a half of fresh pow. We hiked up the volcano for about and hour and a half. Looked down at nothing but untracked snow and crushed it. The run was about 3 minutes but probably some of the best skiing I've ever done, very worth it. We had the only tracks there. You could see the Andes and about 4 lakes from where we were.
Oh ha and we tried to go to Argentina one day for more skiing at another mountain. We bought chains, packed everything up, ready to go, drove through a beautiful park for about 2 hours, turned around twice, my fault, got to the border. Guy stamped our passports, then some other guy said we couldn't go because we need more car insurance for Argentina on the car we rented. Sucked bad, was a real bummer but I think the tire chains are the best buy of the trip, right dad, needed them quite a few times. We also went to the Kuntsmann brewery with my host dad. We met his 94 year old friend. She still lives alone and was as sharp as a tack. She was super tiny but had designer boots on I think was pretty funny.
All in all had a great time with the rents and hope they did too. Miss you guys and love you mom and dad.

Patience is a virtue, and you better have a shitload when you come to Chile.
